This Dandy Bonnie is the simplest expression of what Backdating is

During a custom motorcycle project, it’s about mutual trust between the owner and the creator. Thierry entirely trusted our skills and gave us so much freedom that it made his project greater than expected.

It took less than 24 hours between our first contact and the moment when we signed his BAAK project. This complete commitment was true to our entire collaboration process. Thierry was interested in the Dandy Bonnie we previously created over a Triumph Bonneville T100 EFI ; he finally went for the Bonneville T120 and blindly trusted BAAK for our first liquid cooled Triumph project. We revealed the raw side of the Dandy Bonnie to make it perfectly suit Thierry’s mind.

That project enabled us to develop a new range of parts and test it over one of our most symbolic model. We spent hours designing and prototyping parts to achieve a build that would radically change the bike’s original shape while not turning to an outrageous result. Staring at this Bonneville makes the work Backdating find his meaning : Working over vehicles to offer it the look and the manufacturing quality of old ones. We knew we completed the challenge when we saw Thierry’s smile when he rode his new bike for the first time.
