Inspired by the cafe racer era and the rock’n roll subculture from the 50’s around London, this project was off to a good start! But that was before Sebastien realized what a cafe racer (and the mandatory clip ons) would imply for his everyday life on the bike.
After much thought, Sebastien decided to lean towards a more Scrambler philosophy, without leaving behind the main idea to do the work himself.
With the direction and identity of the bike chosen, Sebastien turned to Baak and made a selection of parts fitting his Street Twin. Sebastien chose Baak parts for the classic look and their easy assembly (as most of them are simply plug’n play) .
To round off the aesthetic, Sebastien called in the famous painter Andre Marty from Switzerland, who used 12 carat gold leafs on the side panels. Sebastien wanted to have the numbers 74 and 77 printed on his bike, as an homage to his and his wife’s birth year.
What a great way to celebrate their 25th anniversary! In the end this bike is the symbol of a shared passion: the passion for motorcycle.
The combination of the sophisticated tank design and the great selection of parts give a strong personality to this Street Twin. Sebastien can now ride the Swiss roads with the certainty to never find another bike like his.
On his favorite playground, this bike, on which he spent countless hours and a few weekends to transform, turns each journey into a unique adventure.
