Stéphane didn’t know the final result he wanted for its bike. The green pearly painting with golden borders was, great, we chose to keep it. We began working on the leathering, by handcrafting an aged brown leather saddle, enabling him to keep the original saddle cover and bringing a passenger. The front of the bike also gets leather parts : fork gaiters and handles straps, in the same color as the saddle. We visually lightened the front with a brushed handlebar, brushed mirrors and a mini speedometer mounted on a specific plate placed above the steering column. We also used a fixation plate to move the ignition switch under the gas tank.
This bike gets a radical look with Heidenau K60 tires and a short license plate support / fender eliminator. The off road tires give it an aggressive look without destroying its driving skills. The tank painting was the only thing that enabled him to recognize his Thruxton at the workshop when he came to (re)discover it.
