Nathalie and her Royal Enfield perfect to cut through the fields

Like a family story… Her son, convinced Nathalie to let BAAK build her dream motorcycle, just like he did. A simple yet strict specifications brief gave birth to this exclusive Royal Enfield.

Nathalie is Nelson’s mother for who we built a terrific Triumph Scrambler back in 2018. He thought that all the motorcycles his mother enjoyed were too heavy or too high, so he recommended BAAK to build her a bespoke bike.

She wanted an easy-to-ride motorcycle, one that would remind her the light and nimble trial bikes she used to ride and feel comfortable on. We decided to start with a Royal Enfield Classic 500 EFI as a base for its true potential to become a classic trial bike.

We started working on the chassis, and ended up with a lightweight of 155kg / 330lb (compared to the original 180kg / 400lb). To lower the Royal Enfield, we extended the swingarm and replaced the shocks with an adjustable set . We chose 18′ H profil aluminium wheels and a pair of off road tires so she can easily ride on trail. We added a set of crash bars, a bashplate, some aluminum foot-pegs and a single-seater leather seat.

The cockpit isn’t left behind : aluminum triple trees and clamps, wide chromed handlebars for a better handling, aluminum handlebar controls and a tiny speedometer. The headlight and its brackets were painted in the same blue color as the body parts and the frame : Indian Air Force Blue.

On the engine’s point of view, our team made sure this Royal Enfield gets a strong character. An high compression piston kit replaces the original one, a lightened high exhaust was designed and manufactured, the airbox was removed and replaced by a light air filter. The mono 500cm3 can now express its true character.

Nathalie now enjoys an exclusive machine, perfect to wind on those country side trails, have fun and escape far from those urban roads with her son Nelson.
